Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson is due to undergo a medical at Liverpool FC on Thursday before sealing an £8 million move to Liverpool.
Liverpool have long been in the hunt for a potent Left-back and it seems that this time Klopp and Co., have found the one they needed. Hull’s Robertson is about to undergo medical before formally putting pen to paper for a £8 million move from his old club. Robertson made 39 appearances for the Tigers last season, scoring once and assisting a further three goals, but couldn’t save his side from relegation from the Premier League.
Robertson will become Klopp’s third summer signing, after having snapped Dominic Solanke from Chelsea and Mohammad Salah from Roma earlier this month. Liverpool will hope that they have a good sentry in Robertson, who in turn will solve their defensive woes to some extent.
Liverpool are still in chase for a centre back, in Southhampton’s Virgil Van Dijk and a box-to-box centre midfield player, RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita. However, Keita doesn’t look to be coming to Anfield too soon. Van Dijk although could be a different story, since the player made his statement that he wants to play for Klopp this season.
